Dear ##firstname##,

The 26th Street Machine Summernats, proudly brought to you by Rare Spares, was off the scale. 101,486 car enthusiasts had a cracking long weekend in our nation's capital. It shows that the event is delivering what people want, and the future of the Nats is strong.

A huge congratulations goes to the 1,767 entrants who continue to amaze with their awesome street machines that made Exhibition Park rumble for four days. Thanks to our naming rights sponsor Street Machine Magazine, our supporting partner Rare Spares and the rest of of our fantastic partners for all your support.

Our last thank you has to go to all the guys and girls who work tirelessly behind the scenes … Russ, Sheena, Nat, Julianne, Pauline, Chic, and all the judges, scrutineers, officials, volunteers and hundreds of event personnel who bust their proverbials to bring you Australia's favourite horsepower party.

The highlights were many … 30,000 Canberrans enjoying the Shannon's Citycruise, the cauldron that is the Liqui-Moly Burnout Masters and Burnout Championships, rockin out to the Hilltop Hoods and Rose Tattoo, a new Guinness World Record for the Largest Simultaneous Car Tyre Burnout, the Meguiars Great Uncover, the PPG Supreme Entrant Award, and the Street Machine Magazine Summernats Grand Champion …. just to name a few.

Even with the crazy weather, there was a great spirit. You coped with the heat, and then the rain, and then the heat again like champions.

There'll be more to come about what we're doing to make Summernats 27 bigger and better. At the Nats, we always listen and learn, and there's things we're going to improve to make your experience at the event top quality across all areas. Standby for some very cool announcements throughout the year as we come up with new things like we always do … and get set to be blown away again in January 2014.

OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR THE SUMMERNATS NEW WORLD RECORD

Summernats 26 broke a Guinness World Record for the most amount of cars in simultaneous burnout on January 4, 2013 in Canberra, Australia.

When the massive blanket of smoke eventually cleared, Chris Sheedy from Guinness World Records told the 10,000 plus crowd that exactly 69 cars had managed to complete a 30 second burnout.

Sixty nine. That's a 'Nats kind of number.

Drivers came from all across Australia to fry their tyres together in this historic event, some traveling thousands of kilometres from Western Australian and Northern Queensland to take part in the rare feat.

138 tyres x 30 seconds x over 35,000 horsepower = 1 world record.

Thank you to the drivers, staff and sponsors for making this incredible event happen.
