Some words from Peter Noble, our Festival director.
Hi Bluesfesters - since Bluesfest I have spent less than a week in Australia - in fact just a few days before travelling to the US.
There I caught up with Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi at the Blues Awards in Memphis - they both said they had an absolute ball in Australia and can't wait to come back. Joe Louis Walker and I also hung out, and Buddy Guy's band and I caught up.
Then it was off to Jazzfest in New Orleans - Trombone Shorty must have played to 50,000 people there on the Saturday afternoon - he is becoming a major star - really quick - and his show at Tipitina's nightclub later that day/night - where he started playing at 2am was sold out in advance - he played until well after 5am - AND guess what everybody - he said he can't wait to come back to Bluesfest - and asked if it could be next year.
On that note, Angelique Kidjo and Maceo Parker have already asked if they can come in 2012.
This is just a few of dozens of artists who are already asking to come for Bluesfest 2012 - I can tell already, it's going to be a great year - AGAIN. Oh and the UK mag Blues Matters in their May issue have written a great review on Bluesfest 2011 - what a great review - the heading is 'The Greatest Blues Festival on Earth' - WOW - and to think we came from a little old nightclub in Byron Bay ... and we are still going STRONG.
Time to pay option:
For the first time ever we are introducing the "Time to pay" payment option as an alternative to FULL payment at time of purchase. We invite you, our trusted members, to purchase discounted pre-early bird tickets with time to pay the ticket off in 4 easy payments.

You pick the tickets you wish to purchase and when you get to the end of your order, in the payment option screen, you will be given 2 options:

Option 1: Choose the "Instant Tickets" option and pay the total amount. |

Option 2: Choose the "Time to pay" option and spread the 4 payments over the next few months. You will get a breakdown of your 4 payments. 1st payment at time of booking. 2nd payment 28 days later, the 3rd and 4th payment 28 days thereafter. |

Please note that a small fee applies for paying off your tickets, but it is only to cover extra bank charges and admin fee.

Should you wish to bring a campervan, motor home, camper trailer, or Winnebago you will be able to book a bigger site later on once we establish the cost. We are looking at all camping options to cater for all tastes and budgets. So if you are looking to bring any of the large vehicles or simply looking for more space than quoted above, don't buy the buddy package - Please wait for further camping options which will be available for purchase via the website soon!
PLEASE NOTE: AS OF 2012 - ABSOLUTELY NO CAMPING VEHICLES OF ANY KIND WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE BLUESFEST CAR PARK (INCLUDING WICKED VANS). IF YOU WISH TO CAMP AT BLUESFEST YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY A CAMPING TICKET. ANY CAMPERVANS FOUND IN CAR PARKS WILL BE TOWED.
